I am an undergraduate student at the University of Miami. I am currently pursuing a degree in Marine Biology and Ecology. I love reading, playing ping pong, and Marine Science.
My Passion
My blog post primarily consisted of the research that I am interested in so I am utilizing this space to get more personal. Unlike a lot of other people in my major, I have not always loved the field of Marine Science. What spurred my love for it was a documentary I saw in high school about the effects of climate change on the mechanisms of the ocean. From then on, I researched everything I could on the subject. Marine Biology is about as broad and diverse as a field can get. It involves natural phenomenon, climate, biology, chemistry, physics, geography, and so much more. To me, the study of the ocean is like a quest to uncover Earth’s greatest and oldest secrets. The ocean holds the most elusive creatures in her depths and the answers to the beginnings of life on Earth. We know less about the ocean than we know of outer space! I hope, with everything in my being, to be a detective in the world’s greatest mystery. In studying the ocean, we will learn more about the Earth than we have ever known and uncover information that can be used to benefit the world.
